Movie Review: The Perfect Roommate
While flipping through channels of something interesting to watch, I stopped at the Lifetime Movies Network and The Perfect Roommate was just starting. I’ve never seen this, and the info said it was a thriller/suspense film. I decided since there was nothing else on that I would just watch this movie, even though I don’t like watching scary movies by myself. The Perfect Roommate is about this thirty-five year old woman who moves in with a twenty-year old girl that she works with at a restaurant. The plot of this story is that the woman only rooms with her to get close to her millionaire father, and his assets. Little does the twenty-year old know, the woman has a secret past that she doesn’t find out until the end of the movie. Her past includes the murder of a woman that her previous millionaire husband had an affair with, as well as be-friending an ex-con and sending her innocent ex-husband to jail. The climax is when the girl and woman confront each other and the woman tries to kill the girl with a broken glass bottle. Then a cop comes and arrests the woman, and the father and daughter are safe. The last scene of the movie shows the woman in jail holding and caressing a picture of another millionaire man on the cover of Forbes Magazine.
Overall, this was one of the worst movies I have ever seen. The acting was horrible, it was not scary, there was no suspense because you could predict everything that was going to happen, and the plot was plain stupid. Don’t waste your time watching this like I did. I rate it zero stars out of five.
